Meet Dr. Salameh

salamehDr. Bernard Salameh, founder of Salameh Plastic Surgery, is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive Plastic Surgery.

Dr Salameh has trained in prestigious universities around the country.

Dr Salameh has completed his General Surgery residency training including a one-year research fellowship in tissue engineering at the prestigious Yale University. He then moved to Nashville and completed an additional three years of specialized residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Salameh completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology and his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) at the prestigious American University of Beirut. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Salameh was accepted at Yale University for General Surgery Residency training. Throughout his residency, he published multiple articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals as well as book chapters in basic science on tissue engineering. He was also invited to present his work at multiple national meetings across the country. Dr. Salameh is very interested in teaching. He was a Member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) at Yale University as well as a member of the Yale Surgical Society. He was also recognized by his patients and was listed on the Medical Staff Service Excellence Recognition at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Salameh served as Chief Resident in his final year at Yale University. Dr. Salameh is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery (General).

After General Surgery residency, he was accepted for plastic surgery training at Vanderbilt University. The Vanderbilt Training Program is one of the top independent Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training programs. During this three-year residency, Dr. Salameh trained with world renowned faculty. During his training, Dr. Salameh was the Winner of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons course KLS scholarship. He served as Chief Resident in his final year of Plastic Surgery training at Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Salameh is settled in Bowling Green, Kentucky, with his wife, Dr. Maya Khoukaz, a Primary Care Physician, who continues to support and inspire him in his personal and professional ambitions.
