PRP therapy, also known as platelet-rich plasma therapy, is a medical treatment that’s meant to stimulate new hair growth through an increased blood supply to your hair follicles. At Salameh Plastic Surgery, our PRP hair restoration draws your own blood for processing and injection into your scalp. PRP HAIR RESULTS
A complete PRP hair restoration cycle must be scheduled in four treatments — each one four weeks apart. We draw blood from your arm and place it in a centrifuge for about ten minutes to separate the platelet-rich plasma from your red blood cells. We then inject the plasma into your scalp.
You may experience minimal effects after each treatment, but there won’t be any substantial results for four to six months into the treatment. You must also schedule maintenance treatments every six months. Most patients will notice a remarkable improvement in volume, thickness, hair retention, and hair regrowth in about a year.
