Lipedema
Lipedema refers to a common condition occurring in about 11% of women, which causes irregular accumulation of fat deposits mostly on the legs, thighs, hips, arms and forearms. It spares the feet and hands. Causes of Lipedema include hormonal and hereditary factors.
Very few plastic surgeons are equipped with the knowledge, expertise, and experience to successfully treat lipedema with liposuction worldwide, so patients seeking a qualified provider often travel all the way to Europe to get the results they desire. We offer the exceptionally rare lipedema with lymph sparing liposuction–a special technique that preserves the lymphatics, veins, arteries, and nerves.
